So, the youth group is doing a firework stand for a fundraiser. Obviously, I have been helping run it some. Last night Kendle and I closed up so that Jeremie could go home a little early. I suppose it will be one of the only nights that he does that this week. Anyhoo.
At some point during the evening, I heard Kendle talking to Jeremie about something or other "...at the youth's firework show on Sunday, we should..." -blahbla...
In my head I'm thinking that this will be cool...boy I didn't even know the youth were having one, but that makes sense...blahblah...I wonder where they'll have it...oh, well, I'll find out between now and then...ope! there's a customer...
So I help them and then go chit chat with whoever and Kendle comes up 20 minutes later and says something about the show on Sunday night and, "Oh, by the way, it's gonna be at our house."
WHAT?!!
All of the youth at our house? Of course that's fine. But I have to CLEAN!!! Ah! And who knows who all will show up...adults, etc... I had really better clean!
And I went home last night and I....went to bed. Ah. So nice and peaceful. Hey. I was tired, ok? Ok. Oh, and you're all invited. Bring 5-10 bucks if you can and let's have some fun!

I Was Looking Back...

today,
and I was
reminded,
once
again,
that,
as
I
look
back,
I
also
look
slimmer.
Do you smile at the pun? Or do you cry at the reality?
*sigh*
(I'm all about compromise...)
Prom.
Fun times...
Yes, indeed...

Graduation.
Gosh, we looked like little kids.

And, we were, I guess.
Little,
that is.
Ah, but I digress...
Oh, wait. No I don't.
I am still perfectly on subject.
Too bad, eh?
I always like saying that.
But I digress.

It Happened.
What happened? Everything. Both good and bad. First of all, I have my COFFEE POT!!! I said I would like a red one, but knew that it would most likely be black. It's RED. Oh yes!
So, I had a delicious cup of coffee made just how I like it and didn't even leave the privacy of my own office. Ahhhh...
Here's a question: What makes one betray the trust of another?
Here's another one: Why do people feel the need to ruin other people's lives? Just out of the blue...make a decision to destroy a home.

No Weekend for Me...
So tonight is the wedding rehearsal. I'm excited to see Chris. He got in last night. I'm curious to know what Diana did as far as the decorating and I'm ready to see how that turned out. I'm also REALLY ready for the rehearsal dinner. Oh, yeah! Steak and taters. Wut, wut!
I may get a chance tomorrow to go to the lake with one of my friends and hang out there for about half of the day. That would be amazing. The wedding is at 7, so I think we'll be able to party for most of the day. YES! My mayonnaise-white legs need a touch of sunshine. Yup, they really do.
Sunday. We'll be in Durant for morning service. That will be weird. I have never been to a Sunday service in Durant, nor have I missed one in Atoka since Kendle started his job at the church. And now for the real reason why I brought that up: Seth and Kim and Kendle and myself are being set in as Care Pastors for Atoka. It's a big step. I'm a little nervous, I'll admit, but I think that it will grow us a lot. What am I going to wear?!! I'll be on camera!
-wait! What am I going to wear to Chris and Lindsay's wedding?! Aack! I'm panicking!

My Coffee Pot...
...already shipped. I got an e-mail about it this morning with a tracking number. I think it will be here on Monday. Yay!

Think about it...
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
James 4:7
~Your ability to resist Satan is proportionate to your amount of submission to God.~

So...call me crazy...
...but I got one of those e-mails - you know the kind "ENTER TO WIN A FREE* COFFEE POT!"
- and I did it. I filled out the little survey about blah blah blah...and the thing comes up and says, "you have qualified for our offer." $15 for shipping and nothing else.
OK. Maybe I am a sucker for salesmen, but I think I won't regret this one.

I am ready to get the little booger.
Weird, huh? Well, it's normally a $70 machine plus shipping and I get it with a few coffee pods and a cool little canister to keep my coffee in "for freshness" and all I have to do is pay shipping. I'll take a real picture of it (and possibly one of me drinking a yummy cup of coffee) when I get it and I'll let you know how I like it.

As for now, I'm going to keep drinking the nasty, off-brand coffee from the office kitchen. Not that it's made poorly, it's just an off brand and I can't drink it without plenty of liquid Coffee Mate.
Oh yeah. I should get back to work now. I do get paid for that, you know...
I guess...
I'll start by telling you just a little bit about me. I'm crazy! I love God. People are my life. I have a wonderful husband to whom I have been married three years. They have been the best three years of my life so far... We have no children as of yet and don't plan to for a couple more years. People ask when we're going to have kids and I always tell them, "Oh, maybe in about two years..." I'll let you in on a little secret...I've been saying that for three years now, and it's still holding them off, so I must be pretty good. Yes!
I'm 21 and he's 22, so I don't think we're in any huge rush. Well, what more do you want to know? That's my life. I'll feed you just a little bit more about it later...
